The 2022 Electric Jaguar I-PACE Gets a New HSE Trim With a $69,900 Price Tag
For the 2022 model year, British luxury automaker Jaguar introduced an all-new, HSE variant of its electric I-PACE performance SUV, which adds a host of new features.
One of the latest and most impressive features of the 2022 Jaguar I-Pace is its new fast-charging capability. The SUV now gets an 11 kW onboard charger that allows customers to use a 100 kW DC fast-charger and get 63 miles of range after just 15 minutes of charging.
The latest I-Pace also comes with Jaguar's new and improved Pivi Pro infotainment system, which is mated to an 825-watt Meridian 3D surround sound system.
Jaguar claims that its new Pivi Pro infotainment system is much more intuitive and efficient. The automaker says that 90% of common functions can now be executed with just a couple of taps thanks to a simplified menu structure, which offers a more user-friendly experience.
The infotainment system also comes equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard and can be paired to two phones simultaneously using Bluetooth. In addition to relaying relevant information such as estimated charging time and available charging stations, Pivi Pro Can also plan a route and add stops at charging stations along the way.
This enhanced EV Navigation capability also allows the system to select the most efficient chargers and reduce total travel time. The Pivi Pro system can also estimate the charge level at each waypoint on long journeys and select the fastest charging stations along the route.
With the help of software-over-the-air (SOTA) functionality, Jaguar ensures that I-PACE drivers have the latest maps available.
The styling of the 2022 Jaguar I-PACE has also been updated. The performance SUV now gets a grille that sports an all-new Atlas Grey finish. The SUV rides on new 20-inch, gloss dark grey, 5-spoke rims with a contrast Diamond Turned finish.
Jaguar also offers other equipment like premium LED headlights with signature DRLs and Auto High Beam Assist and power tailgate as standard on the 2022 I-PACE HSE.
The company will even install a glossy black Jaguar badge on the tailgate as part of its Black Exterior Pack option.
Jaguar also offers a Bright Pack option across all 2022 I-PACE variants, which includes Atlas Grey door mirror caps, Atlas Grey rear diffuser, and satin chrome window surrounds.
The 2022 Jaguar I-PACE is now available in four new paint schemes, Portofino Blue, Aruba, Eiger Grey, and Caldera RED.
The new I-PACE also comes equipped with a PM2.5 filtration and cabin air ionization system, which can decontaminate the cabin before a trip. The cabin is outfitted with 16-way, heated and cooled powered Windsor leather front seats as standard.
